I’m Kate…..

A coach, an HR leader, and someone who believes that the most meaningful growth happens when we slow down long enough to actually listen.

I started this work in 2021 with a simple conviction: that too many women in midlife had spent so long being who everyone else needed them to be that they'd lost track of who they actually were. I wanted to help them find their way back — not to some idealized version of themselves, but to the real one. The one with values, with joy, with a little whimsy still tucked inside.

What I didn't expect was how much that work would mirror what I'd been doing professionally for over 17 years.

The Through Line

Since 2008 I've worked as an HR leader across industries — and what I've always loved most about that work isn't the policies or the org charts. It's the people. Setting leaders up to manage with clarity and confidence. Helping organizations build cultures that actually support the humans inside them. Looking at a company's values and asking are you actually living these, or just displaying them on a wall?

It turns out that question sounds a lot like the one I ask my coaching clients.

The work is the same at its core: helping people and organizations get honest about who they are, what they value, and how to build something sustainable from that place.

What People Say

People tend to describe me as a calming presence — especially in the moments that feel anything but calm. Intuitive. Empathetic. Straightforward. Authentically myself.

I do hold an ICF Neuroscience Coaching Certification, and am certified as both a Wellness and Life Coach through HCI. I'm currently the HR Director at a publishing company and actively pursuing my SPHR through HRCI.

That said, I don't hide behind a wall of certifications or pretend that credentials are the whole story. What I bring is real world experience — as an HR Director, as a coach, and as a human being who has done her own hard work of figuring out what actually matters.

Outside Of Work

I find joy in the quiet, textured things. Vinyl records. Second hand shops. Jewel tones and good candles and a strong cup of coffee. Swimming. Music. Voice lessons. Coloring — my most underrated stress reliever.

I'm also lucky to have a husband, two daughters, and a circle of women who have known me and loved me exactly as I am for most of my life. They're a big part of why I believe so deeply in the kind of belonging that doesn't require you to shrink.

That's the kind of space I try to create in this work too.

Sustainable Growth. Human Pace.

Side B
Vision

&Values

At Side B, we believe joy is non-negotiable.

It's the thing that makes growth sustainable, curiosity genuine, authenticity possible, and courage worth it. Because meaningful work should leave room for both progress and humanity. Not just for the person doing it and the culture built around it.

Our values reflect how we show up: thoughtfully, honestly, and always at a human pace.

  • Sustainable growth isn't rushed. We believe in progress that actually sticks, for people and organizations, without the burnout, pressure, or performance.

  • We come to every person, team, and challenge with genuine curiosity by asking questions before drawing conclusions, and staying open to what we might not expect to find.

  • Being real isn't a destination, it's something we choose every day. We do honest work, have honest conversations, and help others find their way back to what's true for them.

  • The biggest shifts rarely come from grand gestures. We honor the quiet courage it takes to look inward, say the hard thing, or simply decide to do it differently.
